再如《浪之歌》, 作者在文中极力塑造“浪”这个形象:“我和海岸是一对情人, 爱情使我们相亲相近……”“清晨, 我在情人的身边发出海誓山盟, 于是他把我紧紧搂抱在怀中;傍晚, 我把爱恋的祷词歌吟, 于是他将我亲吻。”“潮水涨来时, 我拥抱着他, 潮水退去时, 我扑倒在他脚下。”诗中的浪的形象是感人的, 他对情侣海岸一往情深, 爱得热烈, 爱得深沉。透过浪的形象, 我们不禁想起了诗人自己, 想起他对祖国炽热而苦苦的恋情。熟悉诗人纪伯伦的人都知道, 他的祖国———处于封建主义、殖民主义统治下的黎巴嫩———给予他的并不是很多。远在少年时代, 为了生存, 他同家人不得不背井离乡, 不远万里来到美国求生。后来, 立志报国的诗人, 又被“莫须有”的罪名放逐。在自己的国土上, 连立足之地都没有, 不得不旅居异国, 身老他乡。然而, 这种因贫困和统治阶级的罪恶而造成的与故土的离别, 不仅没有淡化他对祖国的思恋, 冷却他炽热的赤子深情, 相反, 他爱之更深, 思之更切。他除将海外流离的阿拉伯作家组织起来, 共同为祖国独立和自由民主而抗争呼号, 还常常在自己的诗作里, 对祖国寄予深厚的恋情, 《浪之歌》便是这类诗歌的代表作。他借助海浪对海岸的热恋, 曲折地表达了他对祖国忠贞不渝的情感和火热的衷肠。

同样, 巴金先生的《日》、《月》中的飞蛾、夸父、姮娥等形象, 也都寄托了作者追求光明温暖的人生理想。那么, 作家们是如何借助这些形象, 寄托自己人生理想, 展示自己心灵风光的呢?

一、运用象征手法

象征是文学创作中的一种重要表现手法, 它是根据事物之间的某种联系, 借助某一具体的事物形象 (象征体) , 以表现某种抽象的概念、思想和情感 (本体) 。象征能够使不容易或不便于直接说出的思想情感, 委婉、曲折、含蓄地表达出来, 而且化“抽象”为“具体”, 使思想更加形象、可感。在《雷电颂》中, 郭沫若就赋予了“风、雷、电”“土偶木梗的群像”及“洞庭湖、东海、长江”等形象以象征意义, 使它们分别象征“变革现实的伟大力量”“无德无能、欺民惑众的官僚统治集团”“人民群众”, 并且通过对“风、雷、电”的歌颂和对“土偶木梗”的抨击, 含蓄、深沉地表达了诗人痛恨黑暗、向往光明、忠于祖国、热爱人民的高尚情操和崇高理想。

而《海燕》中, 高尔基给自己笔下的形象赋予了不同的象征意义:“海燕”象征着英勇善战、大智大勇的无产阶级革命的先驱者形象;“风云雷电”这一组意象象征了反革命势力;“大海”象征了广大人民群众的力量, 而“暴风雨”则象征1905年俄国革命前夕一触即发的革命形势———一场酝酿中的推翻沙皇独裁统治的无产阶级革命。因此, “大海与风雨雷电的殊死搏斗”反映的就是1905年革命前夕革命与反革命斗争的日益激化。“大海最终战胜乌云闪电”, 象征了无产阶级革命必胜的前途。总之, 在文章中, 作者使用象征手法, 为无产阶级唱出了一曲充满战斗激情的颂歌。

二、紧紧抓住“寻常之物”的特点, 赋予它们人的灵性

换句话说, 作者在塑造这些形象时, 都抓住“物”自身的特点, 使用了拟人手法, 因此, 本单元文章中的这些形象, 除了具有人的特点外, 还有物本身的特点。如《浪之歌》中的“海浪”这一形象, 她的“任性”、“总不能平静的心胸”、晨昏的情感变化、潮水涨落时不一样的举动等, 除有“海岸情人”的特点外, 都符合海浪的特性。《雪》中的“朔方的雪”的“如粉、如沙、绝不粘连”, 既是对朔雪质地形态的描写, 又映现此期作者的“荷戟独彷徨”的孤独。《雷电颂》中“土偶木梗”“端坐在神位上, 装腔作势, 没有德能”, 实际上是指世间昏君的昏庸腐朽、无德无能、欺民惑众。因此, 作者运用拟人手法, 很好地表达了自己的情感, 展示了自己的心灵。

三、采用第一人称的口吻

第一人称的使用, 使“物”“我”融为一体, 物即我、我即物, 物之声乃我之声, 物之情乃我之情。这点在纪伯伦的《浪之歌》与《雨之歌》中尤为突出。“浪”“雨”即是诗人, “浪”对海岸的恋情、“雨”对大地的奉献精神, 也就是诗人愿为祖国献出一切的心声。

总之, 本单元散文诗中, 作家运用各种手法塑造的这些形象, 都承载着作家的理想与追求, 其间跳动着作者的情感律动, 我们品读这些形象, 就能领略到每个作家的心灵风光。
