2主要内容

第一部分身份和环境, 主要介绍了学习者身份, 影响语言学习和学习者身份识别, 课堂、课堂会话、教材及课堂活动的因素;语言变异及殖民主义对语言的影响;内圈、外圈和扩展圈学习者的特性及区别;文化的本质, 探讨了研究文化和文化差异对英语教学的作用及语言和文化之间关系;教师需要对自己工作的社会、文化、政治环境进行强有力的分析和清晰的自我认识。

目前的研究主要是针对英语教师的自我效能感及提高教师素质的策略、专业知识建构、专业素质、胜任力等方面, 在一定程度上对于促进英语教师的专业发展有所启示。但是这些研究只是提出了在某一方面英语教师专业发展的大方向和专业化发展的大致对策, 没有将英语教师专业化发展所应具备的知识明确化、具体化。而本卷正是在为英语教师提供了专业化发展的明确方向。

从结构上看, 本卷分为四大部分。第一部分是学习者身份识别和背景环境, 主要讲解了语言学习和教学的环境, 第二部分是语言意识, 主要讲解了英语语音、词汇、句子及口头和书面语言的相关知识, 第三部分是语言学习, 主要讲解了学习理论的信息背景, 第四部分是专业性技能, 主要讲解了英语教师应具备的专业技能。然后每部分和每章节再按照先简要介绍, 随后再具体讲解, 最后在章末进行总结的顺序编写, 这样循序渐进, 层次分明, 有助于读者的理解。特别是每个章节的开篇都用一则故事来引入, 在章末提出问题供读者思考和讨论, 引导读者进行深层次的思考, 并带着目的阅读正文, 不仅提高了阅读效率和质量, 还增强了阅读的趣味性。

从内容上看, 本书概括了英语教师所需具备的理论知识, 涉及面广, 知识性强, 通俗易懂。本卷不仅提供了英语教师所需的理论知识, 还为英语教学提供了相关建议。如:第十四章中在如何维持专业化的讲解中建议教师应该一直学习新的教学技能, 处理好与学生之间的关系。可圈可点的是本书还涵盖了英语教师专业知识以外的其他相关知识, 例如关于学习者、教学环境及文化方面的知识。

当然, 本卷也有欠缺之处。首先, 整本书分成了两卷, 第一卷关注理论知识, 第二卷关注教学实践, 把理论和实践分割开来, 不利于读者将理论应用于实践。如:第一卷第三章中讲到移民和难民在学习语言中的困难和挑战, 而第二卷的第七章中又涉及到了对移民和难民的英语教学, 这两章的内容联系性强, 如果合成一章进行讲解更利于读者的理解和掌握。此外, 在第一卷第十章中虽然提到了学习迁移和语际迁移的区别, 但是并没有进行深入的讲解, 对读者的理解造成了困扰。

总之, 本卷为教师提供了他们所需的背景知识, 并始终围绕着英语教师需要具备的相关理论知识和如何提高学习者的英语水平来展开, 对英语教师及语言研究者有一定的启示和指导作用。

单元音共十二，四二六前中后。双元音也好背，合口集中八个整。辅音共计二十八，八对一清又七浊，四个连对也包括。有气无声清辅音，有声无气浊辅音，发音特点应掌握。非谓语动词的一些特殊用法：

后只接不定式作宾语的一些常用特殊谓语动词 动词后，不定式，want，hope和wish，agree，decide，mean，manage，promise，expect，pretend，且说两位算在此，要记牢，要记住，掌握它们靠自己。

后接动词不定式做宾语补足语，省略不定式符号“to”的一些常用特殊动词 一些动词要掌握，have，let和make，此三动词是使役，“注意”“观察”“听到”see，还有feel和watch，使用它们要仔细，后接“宾补”略去“to”，此点千万要牢记 除此之外，还可以掌握“八字言”

一感feel，二听hear，listen to，三让have，let，make，四看see，look at，observe，watch 后只接动名词做宾语的一些常用特殊动词 特殊动词接“动名”，使用它们要记清，“放弃”“享受”可“后悔”，“坚持”“练习”必“完成”，“延期”“避免”非“介意” 掌握它们今必行。

动名词在句中的功能及其它

“动名”语法其功能，名词特征有动、形，主宾表定都可作，“动名”、“现分”要认清，“现分”不作“宾”和“主”，动名作“状”可不行。二词皆可作定语，混为一谈不允许，主谓关系视分词，“动名”一词无此义。

现在分词形式及在句子中的作用（包括过去分词的作用）：

现在分词真好记，动词后面ING.它的作用真不小，可以充当定状表。还有宾语补足语，忘记此项不可以。分词做定语的位置及其它

“定分”位置有二条，词前词后定分晓。单个分词在词前，有时此规有颠倒。分词短语在词后，“定从”和它互对照。“现分”动作进行时，“过分”动作完成了。

（注：“定分”：做定语的分词：“定从”：定语从句：“现分”：现在分词：“过分”：过去分词。）

分词做状语在句子中所表示的意义 分词做状语，概有七意义。

口诀8 独立主格结构

独立结构要认清：名、代之后副或形。或是分词或“介短”，with结构不可轻，名代二词是其“主”，句子结构必分明。独立结构好掌握，句中作用只一个： 千变万化皆做“状”，其中意义也不多。

“时间”“条件”和“原因”，“方式”“伴随”没别的。“状从”和其前三个，可以互变不难学。

口语中有些动词跟不定式作宾语补足语时省去了to，其中诀是：一感二听三让四观看。

感官动词和使役动词后面出现了动词不定式做宾语补足语时，主动结构中必须省略不定式符号to，但在变为被动结构时，省略的to 则必须加上。
