近年来, 部分省市高考作文命题也不断引导学生走向社会, 体验生活, 关心大众。如2007年广东高考作文以“传递”为话题, 全国卷二高考作文的“帮助”话题等;2008年全国卷一高考作文与“抗震救灾”的有关话题, 江西高考作文以“2007年洞庭湖鼠灾”为背景自由命题, 辽宁高考作文“青少年社会公德与自我个性”的有关话题, 上海高考作文以“他们”为题等。学生只有不断地深入社会, 在体验的同时, 才会有对社会的了解, 才会承担起社会的责任, 才会有写作的个性化, 也才会对真实的社会生存状况以及个人感受作出正确的情感态度和价值观的判断。如2008年上海高考满分作文《他们》, 考生对农民工子女的生活进行了观察, 字里行间流露出考生的社会责任感, 文章结尾还写出了农民工子女的变化:“他们, 终将会成为我们。”考生没有一味抱怨, 写出了变化和希望。

社会, 是我们写作素材的加工厂。用你的双眼观察社会, 用你的形体感触社会, 亲历便是体验, 写作便会有“道”有“物”。鲁迅也讲:“作者写出创作来, 对于其中的事情, 虽然不必亲历过, 最好是经历过。”引导学生到社会中去, 参与社会实践, 这是新课改的呼唤, 更是学生写作的回归。

人生和写作关系密切, 写作的过程是一种人生追求的过程。写作是记录人生的过程, 也就是关注人的生存状况、心灵世界和对生命的理解。我们要在写作的过程中, 充分体现对人生的理解, 尤其是对生命的理解, 不断完善自我人格, 提升自我精神境界。如作家史铁生残疾后, 精神状态极不好, 后来常去地坛, 寻找“活法”, 而古老的地坛启迪了他“活下去”, 并找到了生命的“出路”———写作。在《我与地坛》一文中, 他回答了生命哲学的基本问题:我为什么要活?怎样活?我为谁而活?关注人生, 是回归写作的生命理解。
