HR对英文简历写作的看法

自从从事HR工作以来,小Y可称得上是阅“简历”无数,如今一分钟要看好几份简历的她,能迅速判断出一份简历的好坏,能从中找到自己需要的人才。她说“一份好的简历应该达到‘龙头猪肚虎尾”的要求”。具体需要包括四大块内容:个人信息、教育信息、工作经验和证书荣誉等信息。这些要求看似简单,却不是每份简历都能达到的。此外,通常没有留下手机号码或电子邮箱等联系信息的简历是不会在HR的考虑之中的,而工作经验的信息应该占据简历中最大的篇幅,包含最大的信息量。

谈及简历中的工作经验,小Y表示: “如果应届生实在没有较为丰富的工作或实习经验,那也可以采用表决心的方式来让HR对自己有一个直观的认识。”工作或实习的经验无疑是对求职者过去能力的充分证明,特别是当HR没办法知道求职者现在或将来在工作中能够展现出何种能力,就需要凭借其过去的工作经验来进行判断。

小Y向应届生们力荐的“表决心”的方式,一是写一份真诚的自荐信,向HR陈述自己今后将在工作中表现出怎样的能力。二是对应聘岗位做一个比较详细的描述,在简历中详述自己对应聘岗位所需要的工作能力、工作职责的了解。这样即使自己确实没有从事相关工作的经验,但是通过对工作岗位的描述来打动HR,让HR知晓自己是事先对该应聘岗位做足了功课的。在实际招聘中,能够展示出这样真诚态度的应聘者,是会更易受到HR的认可和欣赏的。

除此之外,小Y还为非名校毕业生、就读冷门专业的同学们在简历撰写方面提供了一个扬长避短的.好方法。“既然学校或者专业的名目已是客观存在的事实,那么如果学校或专业不是特别优秀的话,那就可以在简历中更多地表现出自己所做的努力。” 例如即使你读的不是名校,但是通过在大学期间自学进修了专业技能,并且获得了相关的资质证明,或者参与了相关的实践工作,这样不仅能弥补非名校的劣势,也能体现出自己好学上进的态度。若是你所就读的专业比较冷门,则可以在简历中多多体现自己辅修的第二专业或者自学的其他专业技能。

关于英文简历,小Y提出了与许多人不同的观点:“如果写英文简历时只是去摘抄一个模板,或者用翻译软件来直译,那么宁可不附上英文简历,也不要写一些中式英语。”小Y坚信,写英文简历最重要的是表现出求职者的诚意和准备——一个肯花时间去钻研英文简历怎么写,会去请教专业人士、外籍人士来确保自己的英文简历没有问题的人,相信会更有可能是一个认真踏实、具备良好交际沟通能力的人。

小Y最后选择用“真”、“实”两个字来总结一份好简历的要素。“真”就是要表现出自己是真心实意来应聘某个岗位的;“实”就是充实,不是要应付HR,而是要把自己的能力和想法言简意赅又重点突出地表现出来。
