《山丘上的约会》这个故事中最奇妙的部分,在于两们“笔友”彼此间从未见过面,单单只靠书信文字所产生的美好想象来塑造彼此的形象,而且在无形中不断地增强彼此的美好印象。相信很多人都有这样的经验:只听到某人或某篇文章的形容,就对没见过的人、事、物产生好奇,进而想象,总是越想越美好。

《山丘上的约会》故事最精彩的部分在于两个素未谋面的人终于决定要见面了,让人紧张心跳的也正是这一刻,两人都从对方最高的期望出发,结局如何呢?作者采用了卡通化的造型,夸张地强化了故事中两个主角的差异,不论在身高或体态上都不同。很戏剧化的是,正当玲玲抬头猛往高处寻找将会从天而降的偶像时,男主角瓜瓜也正奋力地跳上山丘去赴约呢!作者运用书本竖立时的直式版面,营造出男女主角见面时的“震憾”画面,令人拍案叫绝!故事中的主角虽然都是田墅里常见的动物,但两者的外形、习性截然不同,所以见面的过程充满了曲折、趣味。孩子在阅读时因为是旁观者,一定会觉得他们好笑,从而在轻松的气氛中理解故事的发展进程。

哇!会面的结果真是令人有些失望,书信中的印象明明不是这样的埃当满怀期盼,终于可以一睹真面目时,才发现事实和想象差了一大截。这是一个有趣又常会发生的事情。其实呢,“人生不如意事十常八九”,生活中经常会有许多的遗憾和委屈。正因为如此我们常常很努力地去避免这样的事情发生,让一切都如意顺心。结果期望越高往往失望越大,以至迷失了对事物本质的认识,我们就越来越不快乐了。试问朋友的真正意义是什么?不就是无邪的友谊分享吗,至于表面的东西也就不值得计较了。

因为人生很少能够真正地心想事成,所以我们会寄望于故事最后的美好结局,至少希望它是正面的、光明的`。笔者很欣赏本书的结局。当玲玲和瓜瓜确信彼此的真正友谊存在时,决定继续山丘上的约会,再为彼此美好的友谊努力下去。真好,友谊可以不用猜疑和负担,只要彼此接纳和分享,或许这正是现代人该好好想想的课题。

I read <> today.It is a very interesting book.Mr.Flinch is a man who was mean and miserable.He had two noisy neighbours, Carl Cultch and Poppy Plink.Carl mended cars and Poppy taught music.Mr.Flinch paid money to them and asked them to move house.But they moved into each other’s houses!

First, I have great sympathy for Mr.Flinch.He was a poor man.He lived in a noisy place.He stood noise every day.He can’t have a quiet life.Isn’t he poor? Although he tried to warn them, it did no good.Second, I think the two neighbors and Mr.Flinch made lots of mistakes, they don’t know how to be friendly to people.The two neighbours only thought about themselves, they didn’t mind other people.If you can’t be politely to people, and then people can’t be politely to you.If you can’t respect to other people, and then people can’t respect to you.Because of his neighbours’ noisy, Mr.Flinch sneaked into Carl’s kitchen and put a dead rat in the fridge.He put his head down Poppy’s chimney and gave a long loud,”Hoowooowoooo!” He wanted to scare them, but in fact they were fine.We can find many kinds of ways to solve this problem.We can talk with them.We can exchange our views.Use this way to scare people is foolish.Everyone wants to make friends with people, so choose a good way to stay with people is very important.At last, let me tell you how to be friendly to people that I learned from this book: We should think more of others than of ourselves.We must be politely to people and respect to people.When we stay with other people or solve a problem, we must be calmly and choose a best way.Don’t be angry with other people.

Oh, Otto!

《教学参考》的目的在于为实验课提供一个基本的思路和框架,帮助实验教师更好地把握课题

理念。希望实验教师结合学生实际情况适当做出调整,将实验课上出特色,上出成果。

一、教学目标

1.语言目标:学生能够听懂并理解故事的内容;能够有感情地、绘声绘色地朗读;能够复述故 事的主要情节;能够完成与故事相关的写作任务。

2.非语言目标:培养学生的兴趣和自信心,引导学生看到故事中的幽默,启发学生意识到尊重 他人、包容异己的必要性。

说明:语言目标由教师负责检查,确保学生完成任务,达到要求。非语言目标具有开放性,需要教师

围绕有意义的话题与学生进行真诚交流,激发学生的学习兴趣和参与热情,让学生在有思想、有内容的开

放性语言实践活动中习得语言。

二、课时安排

要求学生每周完成一部作品,每周安排一节实验课,课时放在学生读完部作品之后。

三、课前任务

要求学生每天朗读 15-20 分钟,辅以默读。做到听读结合,并适当积累好词好句。

四、课堂教学基本步骤

1.导入(Lead-in)

教师提出问题进行引导,如:

解。朗读可采取多种形式,如集体跟读、分组朗读、单独朗读、分角色朗读、朗读比赛等。

3.复述与理解(Retelling and Understanding)

教师开头后,请几个学生接着复述故事。复述时,让学生注意故事中 Otto 引发的笑话。教师首

先帮助学生弄懂单词或习语的意思,如:

“give me a hand”(P6)

“be a dear ”(P7)

“pair ”(P14)

“lost your heads”(P30)

然后,启发学生思考这些幽默是如何产生的。引导学生比较单词的字面意思与放在习语中产生 的引申义,帮助学生认识到单词的意义取决于语境。在此基础上,培养学生的学习方法:通过上下

文理解单词,结合上下文记单词。

4.活动(Activity)——

Riddles

教师说谜语,学生猜。结合Otto 的故事体会谜语中的幽默:

What are the strongest days in a week?

Answer: Saturday and Sunday, because all the other days are weekdays(weak days).②

教师基于故事情节提出问题,在讨论的过程中逐步引导学生看到故事主题(Individuality and mutual respect):

说明:理解和讨论环节中的问题可结合故事内容和英文教案来设计。可先从简单的问题开始,让学生

尽量能听懂并积极参与,问题由易到难,逐步深入。老师要善于启发引导,鼓

励学生大胆思考,大胆回答。
