这则故事主要讲了,“我”在音乐这方面是个白痴,拉出的声音就像在锯床腿。最后,“我”不敢再家里拉小提琴,来到了树林,而“我”遇到了说自己是聋子的音乐教授,她一次次的鼓励,让“我”成了有名的小提琴手。当教授鼓励而成就了年轻人的时候,我情不自禁的想起了我的母亲。
