培训期间, 教研员为我们安排了丰富的内容, 包括山东大学外国语学院院长王俊菊院长的讲座、南京大学外国语学院教授王守仁老师的讲座、一些在一线教学的英语骨干教师的观摩课、南京师范大学外国语学院教授张伊娜老师的点评和教师之间的讨论交流等.他们分别谈了自己对新教材、新理念的一些看法, 使我受益匪浅, 为我今后的教育教学明确了方向, 理清了思路.
初中牛津英语课程的主要任务是带领学生在现有掌握的语言知识与技能的基础上, 培养学生如何运用语言技能, 努力提高学生们的学习兴趣, 同时使学生熟练掌握和巩固基础的语法、时态和一定数量的词汇, 教给学生学习方法, 为以后好的学习习惯的养成打下结实的基础.作为一名中学英语教师, 我深感肩上责任重大, 所以我要及时领会课程的新观念、新特点、新要求, 正确认识把握教学目标, 调整教学方法和方式, 力求在最短的时间内吃透教材, 找到感觉.
首先, 我们先关注一下初中《英语》八年级下册这本新教材的变化.
一、调整单元数, 补充课标话题, 减少单元学习容量.
八年级下册修订前为六个单元, 修订后调整为八个单元.具体单元变化如下:
教材虽然增加了单元, 但是并没有因此提高对学生的学习要求.通过缩减单元容量、降低要求等方式, 将教材每个单元由原来的16-18页缩减至12-14页, 每个单元的语法、词汇等的学习内容均有明显减少, 这样难度降低、坡度减缓, 切实减轻学生的学习负担;每个单元容量减少、学时减短, 更符合初中教学实际.
二、调整单元板块结构, 使内容设计更科学、系统
本套教材每单元原有9个板块, 修订后为8个板块.删除原教材的Vocabulary板块, 将其中的构词法知识移入Study skills板块, 将Check out板块调整为Self-assessment, 采用更科学、合理的评价方式, 对教学起积极导向作用.
三、调整语言知识容量及难度, 更好地落实课标要求 (1) 词汇
八年级下册的课标五级生词分布情况如下:
以上柱状图显示, 修订后本册教材五级课标生词总量约240个, 大多数单元为20-30个生词, 个别单元略多, 约40个生词 (其中包含一些已学单词的同形异义词和派生词) .
为方便学生学习、运用, 修订后的教材每单元均收录习惯用语和固定搭配, 本册教材共收录约50个.
(2) 语法
八年级下册的语法保留了原8B教材的主要语法项目, 即现在完成时和被动语态, 但是调整的幅度也是很明显的.
1. 缩减篇幅
原教材该板块内容每个单元为3-5页, 修订后的教材为2-3页.
2. 减少容量
原教材一般每个单元由3-4个语法项目, 修订后每单元仅一个较难的语法项目或两个相对容易的语法项目.
3. 加强难点讲解
较难的语法项目分次处理, 便于学生更好地消化、吸收.例如, 原来在两个单元学习的现在完成时在新修订的教材中分为三个单元学习.
4. 相近语法项目集中呈现
如原来在8B和9A出现在It is+adjective+to do sth.这一结构现调整在8B一册集中学习.
(3) 功能
四、加强学习策略指导, 提高学生自主学习能力
本次修订将原教材的Pronunciation和Study skills交替出现的设计统一为Study skills板块.调整后重点分明, 八年级下册为写作技能, 内容循序渐进, 条理清楚, 更具系统性.
五、增加材料的趣味性和可读性
原教材每单元开篇的Comic strip是本教材的特色之一.风趣的漫画、简洁的对白, 让学生在轻松一笑的同时, 不仅可以初步了解单元话题, 还可以大致了解该单元的重点语法项目.本次修订除保留原有的趣味设计, 还增加了一些受学生欢迎的内容.例如, 八年级下册将原Unit 3 Online travel重新编写, 让学生了解到, 通过丰富的网络资源, 可以足不出户环游世界;新增单元Unit 4 A good read主要阅读精选名著Gulliver’s Travels的片段, 并告诉学生:书本可以为我们打开一扇窗, 通过它可以看到更丰富多彩的世界.Unit 5 Good manners以生动的形式呈现学生熟悉的习语, 并通过实例教学生如何巧妙运用.这些新增内容进一步增强教材的趣味性, 可以大大激发学生的学习热情.
六、介绍更多中外文化知识, 培养学生的跨文化交流意识
本套教材注重让学生了解更多的中外文化.例如, 原教材Unit 2 Travelling侧重介绍祖国的锦绣河山, 其中包括苏州、扬州的园林, 北京、西安的博物馆等.修订后的教材还增加一些英语语言国家的介绍, 帮助学生更好地了解外国文化.原八年级下册Online travel重新编写后, 通过在线旅游的形式, 介绍了美国纽约的华尔街、时报广场、中央公园和百老汇等著名景点, 让学生对纽约这个国际大都市更有充分的认识.此外, 在新编单元Unit 5 Good manners中介绍英国人的人际交往习俗, 同时引导学生与我们日常交际习惯做一对比, 并找到我们有待改进的地方.通过这些内容的学习, 学生可以开阔视野, 了解到更多国家的知识, 逐步增强对不同文化的理解.
七、全方位渗透德育内容, 充分体现社会主义核心价值观
本册教材立足于学生的全面发展、终身发展, 话题贴近学生生活, 涉及文化、道德、情感等方方面面, 将对学生的思想教育渗透于语言知识的学习中.例如, 八年级下册原有Unit 1让学生了解家乡近年来城镇面貌和人们生活方式发生的巨大变化, 引导他们真切地感受时代的发展和社会进步, 进一步激发学生的爱国热情;新增单元Unit 4 A good read以中学生熟悉喜爱的英国作家J.K.Rowling的经历告诉大家, 坚持自己的梦想并为之付出不懈的努力, 一定会获得成功;Unit 5 Good manners教育学生注重文明礼貌, 遵守交通规则, 了解餐桌礼仪等;Unit 6 Sunshine for all呼吁学生奉献爱心从点滴做起, 关系身边的弱势群体, 并以一个特奥会志愿者及去边远山区支教的大学生的经历, 让学生感受到帮助别人不仅可以丰富生活体验, 也能从中感受到别样的快乐;Unit 8 A green world通过一个瑞士孩子介绍该国国民的日常环保意识和行动, 引导学生谈论在生活中如何节约用纸、节水、节电, 从而增强保护环境的意识.以上内容均通过具体实例, 以小见大, 有助于促进学生形成良好的品格和正确的人生观和价值观.
那么, 我们老师针对新教材的变化应作出怎样的调整呢?
1. 拓宽学生视野, 加强课外阅读
新教材课程建设上拓宽了英语学习的渠道, 营造了英语的学习环境.它更突出了培养学生跨文化交流的意识, 让学生了解国外的地理、气候、风土人情的同时, 也在潜移默化地补充着词汇量.所以, 我们的教学必须从课内引申到课外, 并可以适当加强对学生课外阅读的指导.
2. 新教材注重语言积累, 开发学生潜能, 更加注重语法的应用
这就要求教师决不能把课堂变为自己的“一言堂”, 滔滔不绝、口若悬河地展示自己的口才, 而要将话语权还给学生, 力求极大地调动学生的发散性思维, 强调学生自觉参与, 提高学生的感受和表达能力.要给学生提供尽可能多的语言实践机会.教师应从“师道尊严”的架子中走出来, 成为学生活动的参与者.教师勇于俯下身段看学生, 这是一种人文关怀.不仅是身体, 心灵也要融入学生中间去, 与学生一起合作、交流, 共建有利于个性发展的课堂氛围, 使学生有效地获取新的知识和能力.
3. 教师要不断提高自身素养
教师必须具有系统的完整的科学专业知识, 这是从事科学教育所必备的素养.另外, 教师必须认真学习现代教育理论, 特别是素质教育、创新教育和基础教育改革等方面的理论, 转变传统的教育.在课堂上, 知识有三个方面组成, 教材及教学参考书提供的知识、教师个人的知识、师生互动产生的新知识.新教材的改革改变了教科书一统课堂的局面, 教师不再只是传授知识, 教师个人的知识储备也将被激活, 师生互动产生的新知识的比重将大大增加.因此, 就教师而言, 要适应新教材教学, 就必须接受继续教育, 对新课程充分理解、诚心接受、热情投入, 有效实施并根据新教材要求, 不断提高自身综合素质.

教材地位与分析,我今天说课的内容是:八年级下Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents? Section B(1a-1e)部分,人民教育出版社,2013年10月第一版,2013年第一次印刷。是新目标的新版。 本单元教材以“谈论问题及给出建议”为中心话题,围绕着“为什么不……”进行。学习和运用几个常见的句型:why don't you talk to your parents? my parents don't allow me to hang out with my friends, I can't get on with my friends等 。本节课 SectionB 部分进一步拓宽了本单元的话题内容,主要是探讨如何通过各种活动来减轻压力,如何面对压力,通过听、说、读、写训练,要求学生学会描述困难,表达建议。
二、说教学目标
1.语言知识目标 (1) 指导学生掌握和熟练运用重点词、短语,play sports/hang out with friends spend time alone /give sb a lot of pressure/ have enough free time have a fight with sb/compete with sb (2) why don't you… ?句型的熟练掌握运用 。
2. 语言技能目标 (1)学生能根据实际情境需要真正开口讲英语。 (2)通过听、说、读、写训练,能够谈论问题并给出相应建议。
3.情感目标 (1) 培养学生要爱学英语、爱说英语、想说英语,对英语学习产生兴趣和热情。(2)通过本课的学习,培养学生善于表达自己的问题,并能积极主动地找到解决的办法。
三、说教法
为了充分以学生为主体的课堂教学,并考虑到学生认知特点和年龄特征,我主要采取了如下几种教法:
1.听录音。听音是英语学习的重要方法,也是课堂教学的重要步骤。在听中可以感知,可以模仿。
2.重点解释,个别操练。在每一堂教学中,学生总会遇到一些难以理解的词、句型、短语、句子或某一语法现象。如本课出现的why don't /not you …? 句型的用法等都需要个别解释甚至创设语言情境进行操练和举例,以扫除自由交际过程中的障碍,为语言的进一步学习奠定基础。
3.师生完全可以根据当时的实际思路创造性地交流,这种教法是实现语言知识向语言能力转变的途径。
4.学生分组合作。首先要求学生根据师生示范独立对话,随后叫几组分别站起来表演。 5.设计填空和单项选择,以检查学生对本课单词,短语,句型的掌握情况。
四、说学法
1.养成听的习惯。学生要经常听录音,听教师讲英语,听同学们讲英语,这对学好英语很重要。
2.要学会在实践中学,在应用中学,这样学来的知识记忆深刻、灵活度大。
3.及时巩固,反复记忆。凡教师在课堂上所讲到的语言难点,学生应及时整理,再次认识并积极使用。对前面已学过的课文,学生要有安排地经常复习,否则常常是学了新的,忘了旧的。
4.积极操练,重在口头。在课堂上,学生要积极参与教师设计的每个教学活动,要大胆开口,创造性地说自己想说的话。课后和其他同学及时进行英语交流。只有这样,才能将书本知识变成自己的知识和语言能力;也只有这样,才能实现脱口说英语的目的。
五、说教学程序
1.出示教学目标。让学生明确今天这节课所要学习的内容,做到胸有成竹,心中有数。 2.warming up.激活学生原有的语言知识,为将要学习的新语言打基础。What’s wrong with the girl? She’s too stressed out. What should she do? Can you give her some advice?
3.Discussion What did you do after school? Do you have stress in your life? How do you relax yourself?
4.口语训练 What problems do you have? 让学生分别说出自己生活中或在学校和家里的烦恼,训练学生的口语交际能力。
5.情景交際操练。面对生活和学习中如此大的压力,我们应该怎么办?畅所欲言,大胆说英语。 How to lower your stress? (give your advice.)
6.重点句型积累。 Why not/don’t you do …? Will you please…? Would you please/like to do…? How/What about doing…? Could you please…? You should/could do…?
7.听力训练。(1c,1d)学生通过听力训练,能听懂话题大意,捕捉关键信息,并能针对问题给出合理的建议。
