1.用在数词前面表示大约的词有:some,about,around,roughly,approximately,something like,通常放在所修饰的数词前面,例如:

1.表示“不到,不足或少于某数”等常用below,under,less than,no more than,fewer than,or less 等词修饰,并放在所修饰的数词前面,例如:

2.表示接近某数用almost,about,some,just about,nearly,towards,close to等词修饰,并放在所修饰的数词前面,例如:

一、基数词

1)基数词写法和读法: 345 three hundred and forty-five;

2)基数词一般是单数形式,但下列情况,常用复数:

a. 与of 短语连用,表示概数,不能与具体数目连 用,如scores of people 指许多人;

Eg :He is a 16-years-old boy.

虽然提高听力不是一朝一夕所能做到的,他要求相当程度的英语基本功,正确的听音和阅读方法,快速的语感反应和熟练技巧的运用,但是,正确的应试技巧还是能帮助同学们短时间小有提高,考试应急多拿分。

(一)听前

稳定情绪,克服畏惧紧张的心理,以保证自己在轻松自然的环境中发挥出水平。做错的,遗漏的题目千万要放得下,不要影响心情,迅速调整心态听下一题。

拿到试卷应利用放音前的一点时间迅速地将听力和部分选项浏览一遍(最最关键的一点),确定听音的重点,使听音具有明确的目的性和选择性,从而可以根据题中的语言信息预测材料内容,能够有的放矢地去听句子,提高理解的准确度。

(二)听时

在听音过程中,注意力要高度集中。要从整体上对每段话或短文的中心及寓意有所理解。对事件发生的场所、人物之问的关系、人物的职业、说话者的意图等,要整体理解、推断,不要受表面现象的迷惑。对一些关键信息如数字、人名、地名等试题要做好记录,必要时进行计算。切忌遇到生词便停下来冥恩苦想,而忽视了后顽内容的理解。同时,应正确分配自己的注意力,培养暂时记忆力,善于区别主要信息与次要信息,充分发挥想象力、提高分析判断力。如果中途未听清某—段材料,应马上放弃对相应题目的思考,将注意力及时转移到下一段材料上,否则会影响后面试题的得分。

(三)听后

听完每段对话或短文后,应迅速整理和回忆所听内容,在最短的时间内判断答案。

此外,在做题时还有一些关键技巧,或者说猜题公式:

1、有数字的题:在听数字时,听到的第一个数字往往不是答案,答案是在第二个或经过运算而得出的。有些题需要你用加法、减法或乘法运算之后才能得出答案。

2、对话时第二个人重复第一个的话时,有两种可能:一种表示反对,一种表示强调。
