一、狠抓音标, 养成用英标读单词、背单词的习惯

音标是学习英语的重要工具, 是叩开英语大门的一把金钥匙, 在教学音标过程中, 要强化学生对音标重要性的认识。开学伊始, 我不是草率地把音标教学跟着对话教学简单带过, 而是花大力气重点地培养学生用音标拼读单词的习惯。因为对于第一单元的那些对话, 他们是熟悉的, 他们真正不会的是如何使用音标记单词。在音标教学中, 我没有按48个音标的分类逐一教下去, 而是从26个字母所含的音素开始教学, 然后把其他的学完。在26个字母的音标教学中, 我结合汉语拼音的声母和韵母组合发出一个词的音的方法, 让学生懂得了26个字母的正确发音, 并且不知不觉中懂得了辅音和元音之分。为了让学生熟练掌握48个音素, 我提前把第一册的单词音标拿出来给学生试读并反复拼读, 见一个就要脱口而出。看音标会读单词还不行, 我要求学生通过看音标或听发音写出单词, 要求学生记住每一个音素对应的字母或字母组合。辅音音素对应的字母很好记, 元音音素对应的字母或字母组合较难些。例如, [p]对应p, [k]对应c, k, ck, [:]对应ir, ur, or, [i:]对应e, ee, ie, ea。那么 , [b:d]对应的单词书写是 :b—ir—d, bird。当然, 整个音标教学过程对初一新生来说是枯燥的、有难度的。所以, 我注重让这些知识循序渐进, 反复循环呈现, 然后用各种有趣的、能够刺激学生学习欲望的方式, 促使学生对这枯燥的知识的积极掌握。在这个学习环节结束时, 我以口头比赛和笔头比赛的方式检验学生的这一英语学习, 效果显而易见。

二、课前预习, 先学后教的习惯

获得英语单词的拼读能力后, 学生即应开始自学, 这个自学就是要求学生预先知道即将学习的这一课 (section) 乃至这一话题 (topic) 需要掌握什么。课前预习是学生学好新课、取得高效率学习成果的基础。如果不做好课前预习, 上新课时就会心中无数、不得要领。反之, 如果做好了课前预习, 不仅可以培养自学能力 (主要是独立思考问题的能力) , 而且可以提高学习新课的兴趣, 掌握学习的主动权。课前预习可以发现疑难并引起思考, 减少听课的盲目性, 增强听课效果。为了达到预习效果, 我精心设计了每一课 (section) 的导学案, 一张双面纸共4页, 一页一课, 一个话题 (topic) 4课正好一张纸。预习导学案主要包含以下几方面:一是我会拼读的生词;二是在新课中我复习到 (词组、句型或语法) ;三是我的疑难是 (新旧知识都可说) ;四是文化背景链接 (酌情) ;五是牛刀小试 (试做练习) , 能让学生按导学案如实保质地完成并养成习惯是老师工作的关键。首先, 课堂45分钟需紧凑、有效。前10分钟展示学生的预习结果。8个小组学习水平接近者依次到讲台来说说他们会拼读哪些生词, 复习到哪些旧知识, 他们的导学案也同时放在投影仪上展示给在座的学生观看。其次, 根据他们的不同表现进行鼓励与量分。中间的30分钟新课教学中, 解决学生的大部分疑难问题。最后的5分钟留给学生, 再次在小组中进行答疑解难, 不让疑惑带回家。此外, 我还不断让学生尝到预习的甜头, 课堂上学得轻松, 开口容易, 知识接受快, 可以当小老师, 同学们羡慕的眼光, 老师真诚的肯定, 会给他们带来极大的满足、极大的自信。

三、小组合作, 形成团队互助的学习习惯

小组合作学习 (Group Cooperative Learning) 是生生互动最常见的群体形态, 这种学习共同体有助于学生在学习中互动、在互动中竞争, 使学生在合作学习中解决困难、共享成功实现学习目标, 建立积极互倚型关系, 同时减轻学习者在语言学习交际中可能产生的焦虑心理, 使他们在课堂上有更多的时间练习使用目的语, 并且能表现出更大的学习积极性和创造性。新课标鼓励合作学习, 促进学生之间互相交流, 共同发展, 促进师生教学相长, 这一新理念正逐步渗透于我们的初中英语课堂教学中。小组合作的关键是如何进行有效的小组活动, 因此, 我对小组合作有完整的操作规则: (1) 合理分配小组成员:遵循“组内异质, 组间同质”的原则, 将全班分为8个小组, 每个小组6人或7人, 前面2生后面4生, 成“品”形, 8个小组之间循环换位置。 (2) 合理分工职务:组内每位学生有事做, 事事有人做。如让口语好的学生当汇报员, 让书写好的学生当书记员, 让性格开朗的学生当组织员, 让做事细心的学生当质检员, 让知识丰富的学生当信息员, 让做事负责的学生当统计员。 (3) 给小组成员编号:每个小组至少1—6号, 不同组的同一编号的同学在学习能力或性格特征上较一致。这样在进行一些任务性的活动时, 便于同等比较, 促进公平竞争。例如我在检查预习结果时, 我同一编号的同学依次上台展示, 这样每位学生都轻松上阵, 尽情发挥自己潜能。又如课堂上分角色朗读课文、背课文、提问题等, 我都是以异组同号的同学进行活动的。 (4) 和谐互助:毋庸置疑, 小组中每个成员之间都有差异。因此, 我要求他们不互相歧视, 不互相抱怨, 而要互相取长补短, 互相看到优点, 互相帮助, 互相监督。请教要主动、谦虚, 帮助要及时、耐心。教只是给被教者一定的引导, 而不是告诉他全部的步骤, 更不是给他一个正确答案。暂时的落后没关系, 但要努力做得更好, 做到不拖小组后腿, 为小组争光。 (5) 评价与考核:“评价”是英语课程教学的重要组成部分, 是课程实施的一个重要环节, 是教学活动的一个重要方面, 对学生起着重要的导向和激励作用。教师要注重形成性评价对学生发展的作用。学生的实际学习能力、学习习惯、学习态度、学习策略、文化意识、合作学习精神和课内外的活动参与意识, 是整体评价学生的重要内容。小组合作学习对以上的要求都能考核到, 我们不仅要对组内个人评价, 还要进行小组间评价, 每个成员, 只要有付出, 都有回报。例如他们可以拿他们的小组积分到我这儿兑换奖品。小组总积分达到200分以上的, 每人可奖励一支笔:300分以上的, 可奖励汉堡, 400分以上, 可免做英语作业一次, 用完则重新开始积分。总之, 小组合作学习可充分发挥学生的潜力, 学生大胆参与课堂活动, 提高课堂教学效率, 同时培养他们的合作精神和创新精神。

英语是一门实践性很强的课程, 是一门工具课, 除培养以上习惯外, 我还培养他们的听读习惯, 多听地道的发音, 大声地朗读, 一周给自己录音一次;培养他们及时复习的习惯, 复习即战胜遗忘, 心理学研究表明, 学过知识后的短时间内的遗忘很快, 而往后遗忘的速度逐渐减慢。因此复习要及时;培养他们广泛阅读的习惯, 首先, 会推荐符合年龄段、难易适度的阅读材料, 例《典范英语》、《新概念英语》。其次, 指导他们在阅读中要讲方法、速度及数量。通过广泛阅读, 可以使学生开阔视野, 丰富想象, 了解最新的信息, 接受新鲜思想, 吸取丰富的词汇、语法、英语特色的表达法、习惯用语、社会背景知识等, 这样大大增加大脑的储备, 有充足的输入, 才不会感到知识贫乏。

当然, 英语学习习惯的培养不是一蹴而就的, 当你需要学生养成某种习惯时, 你就要先从思想上引导, 从方法上指导, 从时间上强化, 从精神上鼓励, 使学生在新的英语教学评价下养成良好的学习习惯, 从而提高学习效率, 尝试建立课内外学习一体化的自主、合作、探究的学习方式。英语学习的习惯, 如影之随形, 有“滴水穿石”的力量, 将为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。

一、勤反思的益处

四、反思分析总结

用多媒体观看视频《走路上学》其中一些片段,让学生了解现在有些地区走路上学都不可能。《走路上学》根据真人真事改编,讲述了生活在云南怒江边上的小姐弟俩,为了到对面去上学,而不得不每天命悬一线、溜索过江的故事。我问学生以下这样的问题: Teacher: 1.How do you think of their transportation? 2.Is doing this very dangerous? 3.Why do they go to school in the situation? 4.What do you think of your life now? 最后布置回家作业时,我布置了这样一个开放性任务,让学生回家以后,看完整部影片。用英语回答教师的问题,写在作业本上,也可以用中文写写自己的感受。

反思:

《英语新课程标准》提出:英语教材应渗透思想品德教育,应有利于学生形成正确的人生观和价值观。英语教学要突出知识性,但在掌握知识的同时,也要渗透思想教育。在本教学案例中,关于上学的交通工具,学生能知道的就是自已身边的现象,没有什么奇怪的。而大多数学生不知道,在一些地区连走路上学都变成一种梦想,这对学生的震撼是很大的。通过观看影片和自己的比较,加上教师有效的引导,特别是几个问题的提问,让学生自己感悟到要珍惜时间,把握人生,关注贫穷。把课堂和现实生活紧密联系起来,创设一种宽松的语言环境,调动学生学习英语的积极性,将知识性的英语教学渗透思想性的育人目标,将知识和思想教育紧密结合,潜移默化渗透进学生的内心深处,体现英语教学中的育人价值。因此,英语教学要充分发挥起思想情感的教育作用,挖掘教材内在的思想教育因素,使学生在思想上、价值观上受到很好的教育和熏陶。

(六)案例:

在一节七年级的公开课上,年轻的教师拿来许多形状各异的小贴纸,学生每做出一个反应教师就评价:“Very good!”还带领全班同学鼓掌,掌声参差不齐;每说对一个单词教师就对其说:“Wonderful!” 还是带领全班同学鼓掌,掌声变得稀稀拉拉,而被表扬的学生却不觉得有被表扬的喜悦。学生每次对话或表演教师就奖励其一张贴纸。显然这时学生的情绪被奖品激活,都争先恐后地回答问题。由于学生的活跃程度远远超出教师的想象,都想表现自己,一下子教师带来的小贴纸都奖励完了。由于机会和奖品数量有限,得不到机会回答或回答后得不到奖品的学生很显然情绪受到打击,课堂似乎有些失控,年轻的教师有些措手不及,只能匆匆收场,进入下一个教学环节。而接下来的教学活动得到奖励的学生沾沾自喜,拿着小贴纸左看右看,许多得不到小贴纸的学生参与的积极性不高,有的甚至无动于衷。反思:

重视对学生的激励性评价,重视激发学生的兴趣和积极性,这是正确的评价导向。但是有些教师却随便评价,使我们的评价贬值,这样会得不偿失的。本案例中,该教师先采用同声同气,公式化的表扬,但非发自内心的掌声和单一机械的口号已难以引起学生情感的共鸣,导致有些学生的表扬疲劳,参与的积极性已经不高。然后该教师又采用物质刺激奖励的方法,而这样的物质奖励在课堂刚开始时会兴致勃勃,热情高涨,但随着课堂教学的深入,学生对这样的评价会产生依赖心理,甚至会把正常的学习活动与物质奖励画上等号,使课堂蒙上功利的色彩。滋长浮躁虚荣的心理,形成趋利的学习动机,这在一定程度上也分散学生对教学内容的注意力。

因此,我们教师可以在对学生了解的基础上,通过精湛的教学技艺,亲切的教学态度,与适当的鼓励性话语和肢体语言,就完全可以不用以物激趣,而升华为可持续发展的以情激趣,这样也更大程度上让学生体会到真诚的表扬和真正的成就感。《英语新课程标准》提出:建立能激励学生学习兴趣和自主学习能力发展的评价体系,注重培养和激发学生学习的积极性和自信心。我们教师评价时要考虑学生的年龄特征,注意评价手段,使我们的教学评价真正体现其价值,为教学服务。

(八):词汇教学

《新目标英语》词汇量大,其中七年级上册有词汇 700个左右,下册约450个,八年级上册约450个,下册约400个,九年级全册约500个,合计2500个。词汇量大自然也就增加了教学的难度,但我们又必须让学生掌握,否则难以适应教材的要求。那么我们该采取什么方式来教学单词?

实践证明,传统教学中,靠讲解和机械操练掌握词汇的方法是不行的。尤其在当前中、小学英语脱节,词汇量大,教学任务重的形势下,我们更应注重培养学生自学的能力。我认为我们应做好下列几点:

1、重示范。在教单词时,要求教师自己示范到位,发音清晰,讲解发音要点。同时培养学生认真听,专心看,积极模仿的好习惯。听清后再跟说。确定学生大都听清,模仿正确后,再出示单词卡片,以免分散学生的注意力。对直观的单词配以图片、体态语帮助学生理解。顺利完成音----形----义的逐步过度。

2、重情景。单词是构成语言的三大要素之一。人类思维活动是借助词汇进行的。人类思想的交流也是通过由词构成的句子来实现的。没有词汇任何语言都是不可想象的。因此单词具有语言的意义,应在特定的语境中引出,这样既便于学生理解,印象也深刻。

3、重迁移。在教学中我们应提倡“新旧贯通”或叫“相互迁移”。其实这也是一个很好的学习方法。如:pen----pencil-----pencil-box, day----today----Monday----Tuesday----yesterday, all---tall---ball----small等等。

4、重趣味。英国著名语言家c.e埃克斯利说:“教英语的最好的方法就是能引起学生学习英语兴趣的那种方法。”我们在单词教学中不能一味让学生死记硬背,而应尝试运用多种形式巧记。如采用儿歌、猜谜语、简笔画等形式。

二、that, this和it的用法

(1) this和that是指示代词, it是人称代词。
