有人认为即兴演讲全靠随机应变、临场发挥, 无法准备, 也很难通过练习取得成效;其实不然。“胸有成竹于前, 才能出口成章于后”。由于现场准备时间太短, 要想获得成功, 就要做到有话可说, 即平时积累材料, 练习理清逻辑、快速构思的能力。宏观上, 成功的即兴演讲须以流畅的内部语言结构为基础。它需要学生在短时间内高效整合资料, 能锻炼快速构思与语言组织能力。即兴演讲虽不像命题演讲那样讲究, 但也要内容精悍, 逻辑严密, 结构合理。微观上, 演讲中使用的语言不仅应准确流利, 语音、语速、语调等方面都应根据内容的需要而作相应调整。以上几方面能力, 不论是快速构思组织能力还是语言表达的准确度, 均可通过练习得到大幅提高。

首先, 在课堂中创造机会锻炼能力。将即兴演讲训练融入英语课堂, 如在课前5至10分钟进行, 用时不多, 但效果很好。“英语演讲活动的主体是全体学生, 英语教师只是起组织和点评的作用。”首先, 由老师给出即兴演讲的题目和2至3分钟的准备时间, 这期间要求学生审题立意、构思提纲, 充分调动起头脑中贮存的信息, 确定议论角度和大致结构。可以记录关键词, 但不能用完整的句子。时间一到马上停止, 老师每堂课随机点名几位学生上台演讲, 并在每个学生演讲后, 对该生的各方面表现进行评价, 纠正语言表达中的问题, 或补充相关的英语知识;也可以组织台下学生探讨, 增强互动, “学生在观摩同学的表演中, 互相学习, 逐渐有了竞争意识。学习英语的氛围和环境大大改善。从而促进英语教学工作, 极大地提高学生语言技能。”这种互动也是有其意义的。若没有任何互动交流, 台上的学生讲他的, 台下的学生们做自己的事情, 演讲训练将变成一盘散沙, 气氛沉闷死板, 不仅无法激励学生, 还会起到反作用。在轻松活跃的气氛和“你我他”的交流合作中, 学生们才更容易对英语演讲产生兴趣, 从而勇于讲、乐于讲。课堂即兴演讲训练看似是“迫使”学生去讲, 但在此过程中, 学生将发现自身口语能力的一步步提高, 增强即兴表达的自信心, 逐渐将他们从被动学习引导向主动参与。

其次, 鼓励学生自主学习。一方面, 广泛涉猎英文视听资料如利用网络观看美剧、电影等。积累素材, 扩大视野, 熟悉各类话题。此类方法既有趣又有效, 但执行过程中也应避免一味模仿, 如美剧中的对话都是生活常用语, 而在演讲中则应避免过多使用口语化表达方式和不当习语;也不应滥用部分英美人的口头禅如“you know”“like”“awesome”, 或是频繁使用“I think”作句子开头的习惯。另一方面, 多接触英文演讲, 借鉴学习。“演讲在英语国家中历来都被广为利用, 政治、经济、文化等各界人士都常常借助这种方式来同广大群众进行交流, 大量的演说名篇不断涌现, 其演讲辞也成为倍受英语学习者青睐的语言范例。”在学习这些范例、模板时, 要专注于总结它们的逻辑结构和语言特点。不难发现, 英文演讲的内容讲究亲身经历, 从小见大, 环环推进。同时, 切记不要照搬模板。此外, 要创造即兴表达的机会, 进行“模拟即兴演讲”:不仅要积极跟家人朋友练, 让他们多提意见, 自己对着镜子随意就一话题表述意见, 亦是适应即兴表达的有效方法。这过程中还可多加“调控”, 将自己说的英语录制下来, 听听录音, 跳出“演讲者”角色对自己的即兴表达进行客观评判, 准确发现问题再加以改正, 效果就会更好。

经过一段时间的训练, 学生的口语即兴表达能力会得到较大程度的改善。事实上, 即兴演讲的“可训练性”及其在训练中学生口语、提高思辨创造能力和培养英语实际运用能力上的有效性已得到了越来越多师生的认同和重视。英语教学在改革, 中学英语口语的教育观念和教学方法也要随之转变。而英语即兴演讲作为一个融合知识和技能的素质教育过程, 不仅能活跃学生思维, 拓宽学生视野, 也为他们提供了更多展示自我的机会和空间, 必将使更多的学生受益。

为了丰富文化节内容和广大同学的课余生活,加强英语的学习和交流,提高同学们学习英语的积极性,给广大研究生提供一个展现自我,提升自我的机会和舞台,校研究生团委研究生会决定在研究生文化节期间举办“英语之星”演讲比赛。英语作为一个大学生必备的素质之一,其重要性是不言而喻的。在二十一世纪的今天,企业对大学生英语口语的要求也越来越高。我们希望通过本次活动,让同学们尽早认识到英语口语的重要性,提高对英语口语训练的积极性。

为更好的完成承办“英语之星”演讲比赛的任务,经交通学院和汽车学院团委研究生分会以及校英语俱乐部商量决定成立筹办“英语之星”演讲比赛组织委员会(以下称组委会)。组委会由理事、顾问、主管、干事组成。理事的主要职责是对整个筹办过程进行指导,协调,监督;顾问的主要职责是辅助指导筹办过程;主管的主要职责是全面负责承办过程中具体事情的决策,人事安排,活动进展的把握,工作的协调。干事是具体某一件事或几件事情的负责人。组委会由11人组成(附表一组委会成员通讯录),职务如下:

一.赛前准备工作:

1.明确承办比赛的纲要(院文娱部)

1)活动目的〈1〉提高同学学习英语的积极性,特别是提高对英语口语训练的积极性。〈2〉丰富研究生的课余生活。

〈3〉为大学生提供一个学习和交流英语学习的平台,共同进步。

〈4〉加深对英语口语的重要性的认识。

〈5〉通过举办活动,为广大英语爱好者提供一个互相交流和学习的机会。

2)参赛选手要求:

(1)在校研究生,性别年龄不限

(2)主题由承办单位选定后,题目自选,要求内容积极、健康、向上。

(3)如有背景音乐,则自带光碟。

(4)自备服装和道具

3)参赛人数:

选拔赛自由报名,每个学院2-3人

比赛分为两个环节:录音选拔及演讲比赛。

录音选拔出英语发音纯正、有英语演讲才能的人,其前12名参加演讲比赛。

比赛由二部分组成:一,先进行命题演讲(限时3分钟),命题演讲结束后,评委提问1—2个问题,选手回答限时1分钟。二,即兴演讲(选手准备30秒,回答限时2分钟);其中命题演讲是参赛者围绕我们的主题在比赛前选好文章进行演讲。即兴演讲是现场抽题现场回答。评委们用英语提问,可以是与主题有关的或是演讲者在演讲过程中涉及的问题或是评委感兴趣的问题,参赛者用英文回答,这考察了选手们的应变能力和对英语的运用能力。

2.前期宣传准备工作(院团委宣传部负责:刘愉强)

1)10月18日将此活动通知各院系分团委研分会,希望各院系协助组织有此方面特长的同学报名参加,每个学院推荐2~3位同学。

2)通过我校团委、学生会向学院团委、学生会发邀请函,协助报名。

3)10月19日起将张贴海报在BBS上发贴,宣布大赛报名正式开始。报名截止于10月28日中午12:00。

4)做好宣传工作:制作打印A1彩页海报15张,于10月25日张贴于西湖厅路宣传栏(4份)各研究生宿舍楼下(西

主持人简介:张大海,男,华工交通学院03级研究生,曾在上届研究生文化节中获司仪大赛二等奖、英语之星大赛二等奖和最佳台风奖,多次主次全校大型文艺汇演。

赵皓洁,女,广外外语学院03级研究生,曾多次主持学校大型活动。两人曾合作过电影配音,可谓是最佳拍挡合适人选。

1)邀请7个评委参加比赛的评选工作,其中最好有一两个外教,其中一个外教在比赛后做点评

一、资料的准备

想当然,我们在即兴演讲的时候不可能像命题演讲那样能够做充分的准备,但是,这不是说我们在即兴演讲的时候就不做准备。

1、模糊性准备方法

我们知道一个大概的演讲范围,但是不知道演讲的具备话题,这时候我们需要做的准备就是在这个范围内做思考。找一个基点作为准备,宏观的把握事物,全面深刻的进行思考。这时候我们脑中的思路只是大概的,模糊的,但是,我们一旦拿到话题,我们的思路就能慢慢清晰化。这种准备方法主要是第一种比赛演讲中经常用到的方法。

2、临场性的准备方法

在临场性的演讲比赛中,我们需要做到从点到面的去阐述话题。点就是话题,如何从点到面,我们就需要从点上做准备,我们可利用名言来做开始性的话题阐述。点其实就是一句话,这一句话需要让我们在后续的演讲中不断阐述其中的故事,道理。这其实就是一种点到面的准备方法。点是总结主题的话,而布是阐述出来的故事或者道理。

二、即兴演讲中常用的材料组合方法

1、并列式

所谓的并列式就是阐述的主题之间都具有相关性,但还是独立的主题,互相不冲突。这种方式需要我们把总题分成几个分题来阐述。对,就像我们做语文阅读理解,我们会经常遇到把一个问题阐述几个观点出来,这就是并列式。

2、正反式

正反式,相当然我们要从正面与反面两个不同的方向来阐述主题,但是最终的目的还是利用反而来衬托正面。
