一、空中乘务专业英语教学现状及问题

(一)生源的综合素质不高,外语基础薄弱

我国高职教育是高等教育的重要组成部分,高职院校一般都是本科院校入取以后,高职院校才开始录取,生源的整体素质不高。高职院校发展好的院校,入取分数能达到300多分,很多院校高考入取分数线200分以下,因此学生整体英语水平偏低,部分学生分数都达不到50分,因此外语基础薄弱。空中乘务专业对学生的英语水平要求比较高,因此要加强学生英语的专业英语水平,符合空中乘务专业英语的要求,符合现代企业发展需要。

(二)学生管理体制不规范

空乘专业成立的比较晚,一般没有自己独立的院校,很多院校都开设艺术系,管理体制与艺术专业一样管理,不符合空乘专业管理体制,学生管理制度不规范,不符合空乘专业学生发展的需要。

(三)英语方面的课程设置缺乏系统性、规范性,不能适应市场需求

现在公共英语设置不适应空中乘务专业学生发展需要,不能满足航空企业发展对学生的要求,要提高学生整体英语水平,必须开设空中乘务专业英语,开设的内容要具有科学性,系统性、规范性,具有针对性,符合现代空中乘务专业发展需要。空中乘务专业英语教学的根本目的不是传授语法理论,而是应注重培养交际能力。长期以来,我国大学的英语教学都以传统语法为基础,重视范文的阅读、理解和分析。教学以教师为主导,由教师对课文进行详细、深入讲解。教师把大量信息灌输给学生,课上学生很少有实践活动。传统授课对于巩固语言基础是有一定效果的,但是学生听说能力比较薄弱。听不懂、说不出,又何谈为他人服务。空中乘务专业英语开设,必须加强学生听说能力训练,对于空乘专业学生来说,听、说能力是工作中需要的主要能力,主要是能与乘客进行英语对话,能满足客户需求。

(四)师资队伍缺乏实践性、教学评估体系不完善

师资是教师的关键,空乘专业学生需要实践技能强,提高学生实践技能,教师的实践技能必须加强,是提高学生实践技能的根本。提高教师实践技能,是高职院校发展需要,也是高职院校教学特色需要,高职院校就是培养应用型高级人才,教师起着主导作用,教师必须有过硬的实践技能,教学评估体系要科学,能适应高职院校发展需要,教学评估体系需要在运行过程中不断完善,不断提高,以适应空中乘务专业学生发展需要。

二、空中乘务专业英语教学改革的几点措施

(一)注重生源的外语水平

随着空中乘务专业越办越好,现在社会认可度不断提高,在高考过程中,可以对外语水平有一定要求,可以单独考试英语的听与说能力,分数需要达到一定水平,才允许学生报空中乘务专业,这样能提高学生英语水平,这个措施不适合所有高职院校,对于一些发展好的高职院校是可行的,不具有普遍性。

(二)以市场为导向科学合理设置英语课程体系和教学评估体系

市场现在是经济发展导向,现在高校开设专业要以市场需求为标准,市场需要哪方面人才,高校就应该培养哪方面人才,适应社会发展需要。根据目前国内外民航业整体发展现状,空乘专业需重点培养学生的职业能力,包括航空运输企业服务能力和英语应用能力等等。空乘专业的课程设置应从职业岗位群及社会职业发展需要出发,根据职业岗位的特点及职业发展的趋势设置相应课程。课程内容强调应用性,教学过程注重实践性。应主动根据市场需求培养适需人才,不断深化课程体系改革,开设更多实践性、开放性课程,突出技能培养。高校开设专业市场说的算,开设的课程企业说的算,要打破高校垄断,打破传统模式,以前的教学模式以及不适应社会发展需要,必须改革,以适应社会发展需要,培养企业需要的高级应用型人才,为区域经济发展服务。

总之,空中乘务专业是我国民航事业快速发展的要求,高职院校以培养学生实践技能为主,空中乘务专业主要是服务的,但随着我国改革开放深入,现在外国游客日益增多,要求航空乘务人员必须懂英语。能为外宾服务,提高我国民航服务人员基本素质,提升服务水平,让客人满意,展现我国空乘人员良好风貌。

摘要:空乘专业最近几年发展比较快,现在航空企业很需要空乘专业的实用性人才,高职院校主要负责为社会培养高级应用型实践人才。空乘专业对人员的英语有一定的要求,只有学公共英语是不能满足航空企业人才的要求,必须学空乘专业的专业英语,对提高学生专业知识很好补充,能对专业知识更好的理解,能为航空企业培养实践型应用人才,满足航空企业需要,提高学生实践技能,是高职院校培养人才目标。

大学空乘专业的学生在英文交流的过程中比较困难,甚至出现听不懂乘客意思、词不达意等现象。这是由于现在缺乏一种优良的空乘专业英语训练环境。空乘专业英语听力训练应该从空乘岗位需求分析入手,设置适宜的英语口语课程,使学生真正做到学以致用,为以后的工作打下坚实的基础。那么,在现在的空乘专业英语教学中存在哪些问题、又如何有效进行空乘专业英语听力训练,下文将一一做出阐述。

一、影响空乘专业学生听力水平的因素

1.学生听力基础薄弱

我国现阶段的绝大多数的中学英语教学是以应对高考来进行的,高考中英语听力所占的比重不大,而且考试题目也比较简单,比真正的交流难度要低,那么老师在以应对高考的标准进行听力教学和训练时,就难免脱离实际口语交流,只注重听力题目训练——即运用音响设备放听力材料和练习题,学生在考卷上做选择题或者填空题。这样的训练方式造成学生对材料的过分依赖,如果没有材料,那么就像失去了拐杖,无法进行面对面的交流。所以造成了学生听力基础普遍薄弱的局面。另外,学生对语言基础掌握较少,就会直接影响听力理解的反应速度。最后,中学教学不注重口语发音,认为只要会听就可以了,殊不知听说读写是一脉相承的,当学生掌握不了正确发音,长此以往,他们就辨别不出易混淆的音素,对于发音相近的词就会混淆,导致听力水平下降。

2.学生对英语国家的文化背景了解较少

语言是文化最为直观、传播最广的表现形式,学习任何一种语言都要在了解语言所依附的文化背景的前提下进行。同样的,英语学习必须要首先了解一定的英语国家和地域的历史文化背景,了解他们的风土人情、习俗习惯等。在我国传统的英语教学中始终存在一个缺点,那就是教师过分强调语言技巧和做题技巧,忽视了英语国家和地域的历史文化背景的学习和了解。同樣的,如果在空乘专业的英语教学中依然不注意这一方面的改进,那么学生在工作过程中会闹出很多笑话,甚至影响正常的工作。

3.学生进行英语表达时心理素质较差

听力理解是脑力劳动的一种,同时也是心理活动的一种。因为受原先的英语教育时间较长,在一定程度上,大多数学生形成了“哑巴英语”的思维方式,也许做试卷、考试时能够顺利地回答问题、得到高分,但是一旦到真实的英语口语和听力的环境中,就会受心理因素的影响,心理素质较差的同学就会紧张、焦虑,担心自己的水平不足以应对真实交流,从而产生恐惧心理,原本可以听懂的内容,结果却因为心理素质较差而出现卡壳、头脑空白的状况导致没有听懂,使得交流不能顺利进行。

4.英语听力课程时间较少

空乘专业大学英语课程的时间本来就比较少,专门的听力课程时间更是被压缩的所剩无几。另外,听力课程训练需要循序渐进,一旦开启这项训练就需要一直坚持下去,这项特性在一定程度上也阻碍了听力训练的进程。当课上听力时间被压缩、学生课下的听力练习又跟不上的时候,就会造成听力能力的停滞不前,远远达不到对于空乘人员英语听力的要求,导致学生在就业中处于被动局面。

二、大学空乘专业英语听力训练策略

1.加强听力训练,加强情景教学力度

英语作为一项比较特殊的学科,是需要与西方文化结合来进行教学的。对于老师来说首先应该具备良好的西方文化知识。在实际教学中,有关于文化方面的问题,学生一提出疑问,教师就卡壳,或者自己只是一知半解,对学生解释不明白。所以英语教学应该与英语国家的文化教学紧密结合起来,要在教学过程中始终考虑文化差异,培养学生的文化意识,让学生在宗教信仰、风俗习惯等方面去进入语境,得到语言和文化的双重熏陶。英语教师可以在课堂上进行真实情景的模拟,比如设置机舱环境,让学生分别扮演空乘人员和乘客,大家就一个问题展开对话,“读万卷书不如行万里路”,情景对话也是“行路”的一部分,教师在为学生设置情景的过程中,使得学生能够身处英语文化的真正环境中,更能够把握和理解语言教学的技巧和窍门。另外,教师可以组织学生看与英语文化有关的录像、电影等等,在这种文化熏陶中熟悉英语国家的文化情境, 使自己身临其境,较为深刻地了解英语国家的风俗习惯、礼仪等,在为乘客服务时,可以根据乘客的具体情况进行不同的服务,提高就业竞争力和服务能力。

2.学校增加听力课程安排

教师的计划再完美,如果没有足够的教学时间,也是无法将计划进行实施的。所以学校应该增加空乘专业英语听力训练的课程,让教师能够更好地发挥自己的长处、完成自己的教学计划,同时让学生能够得到更多指导,在课堂上提升听力能力。

3.利用多媒体教学手段进行听力训练

教师可以利用现代信息技术进行情景教学,信息技术具备声、话、形同时传达的作用,这样可以将课堂进行大范围的延展,不再局限于一个小小的教室,学生跟随教师的步伐,在信息技术的作用下,进行生活场景的重现,让教学过程更加生动形象,听力和口语表达能力得到提升。

总之,对于大学空乘专业英语听力训练来说,拥有足够的训练时间、科学合理的训练方式、延展灵活的训练内容、长久有效的训练机制是必不可少的,教师只有在注重语言基础知识的基础上再同时拓展学生在英语国家地域的知识面、提高心理素质,才能真正提高大学空乘专业学生的英语听力水平,既为学生的工作打下良好的基础,还能提高我国空乘人员的整体素质,一举多得,所以要将优质的大学空乘专业英语听力训练模式进行大范围推广,让更多的学生受益。

随着国内民航运输的快速发展和商务、旅游等外籍乘客的增多,使得航空公司对于空乘专业特别是英语水平较高的空乘专业人员的需求数量大幅度增加,因此许多高校开设了空中乘务专业,还有相当一部分高校也在筹备申报之中。由于空乘专业办学时间段、经验不足、缺乏教学实践等因素,使得高校空乘专业英语教学中存在不少值得关注的问题,对于这些问题的探讨有助于找到相应的解决方法和对策,从而促进高校空乘专业英语教学水平和质量的提升。

高校空乘专业英语教学中存在的问题

学生的英语语言基础比较薄弱。从目前空乘专业招生现状来看,对于学生的外在气质、相貌、身高、体重等要求较高,而对学生的英语水平基本没有强制性要求,虽然英语口语测试在该专业招生中作为必要的一个环节,但是该环节所占的比重较低,对于整个面试环节的影响比较微弱,调查显示本科空中乘务专业学生的英语成绩普遍不够理想,大部分学生的成绩在70分以下水平。

课程设置的职业适应能力不强。目前高校空乘专业开设的英语课程主要是大学盈余和空中乘务英语,但普遍缺失讲授专业英语课程的教师,一般都有大学英语老师来进行授课,这样根本就无法满足空乘专业学生英语学习的需求,另外在教材使用上与其他艺术专业的区别也不是很大,空中乘务的专业特点并没有得到充分的突显和考虑,目前来看全国范围内尚未出现一套规范性的空中乘务专业精品教材。
